Final countdown

Et bien oui, nous avons failli emménager le week-end dernier. Une fois de plus, j'y croyais ferme. Il ne restait qu'à installer le lit, mettre des draps et... et nous nous sommes aperçus que le parquet n'était pas suffisamment huilé. Pourtant, on nous avait dit que nous avions assez d'huile pour tout l'étage. En fait, cela n'a même pas suffi pour traiter deux pièces. Je suppose que le parquet, qui n'a pas été traité depuis la IVe République, était archi sec et a absorbé l'huile comme s'il n'allait plus en recevoir avant quarante ans.
Indeed! We have almost moved in this weekend. One more time, I believed it was doable. We had the bed to install, the bed sheets to find and... and we realized that the wooden floor was not oiled enough. Though, we have been told that we had enough oil for the complete first floor. In fact, we haven't enough for two rooms. I guess that the wooden floor, which hasn't been handled for at least 40 years, was dry and drunk the oil like if it would not get any oil for the next 40 years.

Crépissage. Je pensais galérer pour crépir derrière les barreaux mais ça s'est bien passé. Curieusement, c'est le coin (arrondi) qui m'a posé des problèmes.
